HF Holidays supports a range of projects helping to protect our environment and improving access to the countryside for future generations to enjoy. Our policy is to use local transport, accommodation and activity providers to distribute economic benefit to the communities visited.
Bringing people together through memorable holidays in the UK and around the world, is what we do. We recognise that action is needed to protect and preserve the destinations we visit. We want to lead the way in developing holidays that are truly sustainable.

The Travel Foundation help businesses to work "greener" and HF Holidays' has done a case study on how this fits in with us.
As a responsible traveller you will already be aware of the many companies offering a carbon offsetting service for the flights that you take and we recognise that you can choose to offset without input from HF Holidays. As an organisation we have decided to look at all the ways we can reduce our carbon emissions as a business and also ways to make it easier for you to travel to your chosen holidays using alternative methods of transport to flights where this is possible.
Since October 2008 we have worked in partnership with the ECA Group (Energy Cost Advisors Group) to monitor and investigate the energy used at our UK Country Houses.
The ECA report our Country Houses emissions in electricity and gas:
As part of HF Holidays’ ongoing commitment to the environment, we have been working with one of our catering suppliers ‘3663’, to recycle waste cooking oil at our Country Houses. The recycled oil is collected from the houses and converted into B30 Biofuel. The Biofuel is then used to help power the 3663 vehicles. Where oil recycling facilities are not available, alternative solutions are being sought. Since March 2010, our Country Houses have collectively recycled waste cooking oil, which equates to a carbon saving of 18.6 tonnes over three years. View our carbon saving certificate.
Since 2013 we are working in partnership with Dulux to recycle old paint cans.
