Isle of Arran
A ferry ride. A wild landscape. Golden eagles. Fun
and laughter. Standing stones. Bite-size mountains
rising steeply from the sea. Sandy bays. Coastal
walks. Quiet glens. This is a Highland experience
in miniature, on one accessible island.
Arran packs in a bewildering amount of variety with
granite peaks, rolling forests and choice beaches, with
views changing at every turn.
The Isle of Arran is known as 'Scotland in miniature'
and is famed as the most geologically diverse part of Britain.
The isle is an ideal scale for walking, and is blessed with
a mild climate that enables palm trees to flourish
in coastal gardens.
- Grand Scottish mountains; accessible to all
- Beautiful island setting with endless sea views
- A wide choice of walks; coast, glens and dramatic mountains

A typical Classic Walking day
will offer you a choice of 2 or 3 guided walks, each
of varying length and ascent. If you are new to walking, start
at the easiest level, where the pace is the gentlest. We have
plenty of stops to enjoy the views and to rest. As your holiday
progresses you may feel confident to try a more challenging
level, or stick to the same level - it's entirely your choice.
More information on the type of footpaths
