On these holidays there is a choice of two guided walks for varying abilities each day.
ITINERARY
Day 1: arrival day |
|
Day 2: enjoy bird’s eye views along the coast from walks on the Rodopou Peninsula. We’ll visit the Gonias monastery and discover unspoilt traditional villages.
Day 3: walk through the attractive Sirikari Gorge, lined with chestnut groves, plane trees and wild olives, to the village of Polyrinia, an important site in Cretan history.
Day 4: an opportunity to walk the famous 11-mile Samaria Gorge, passing breathtaking scenery as we descend to the coastal village of Agia Roumeli. An easier walk will also be offered on this day.
Day 5: free day – time to relax around the pool or on the nearby beach. Alternatively take the local bus into Chania to explore this charming Venetian city built around its picturesque harbour.
Day 6: head inland to the foothills of the White Mountains where we’ll follow historic tracks to sleepy hillside villages.
Day 7: explore the beautiful Gramvousa Peninsula before descending gradually to the ruined Minoan city of Falasarna and one of the island’s best sandy beaches.

Each year we listen carefully to the views of our guests and make improvements to our walking programmes. Further information will be sent to you prior to your holiday; however the final selection of walks will be made by your walking leaders.
