discovering its hidden treasures en route. Visit Swarovski
Crystal World, Kufstein fortress, Reichersberg Monastery
and much more, all set in the breathtaking scenery of
mountains, forest and rivers.

This fantastic tour is mainly on cycle paths but you will
encounter some roads and undulating sections. The
tour has been extended over eight nights to shorten the
distances, but we can also arrange it as a seven-night tour if
you prefer to cycle a little further each day. |
Day 1: Arrival in Innsbruck
Take a stroll around this beautiful town, or
why not take a cable car up into the mountains for wonderful views.
Day 2: Innsbruck to Strass
28 miles
Cycle through enchanting
mountain scenery on the first part of your tour today. Visit the Swarovski
Crystal World in Wattens, before arriving at your hotel in Strass.
Day 3: Strass to Kufstein
22 miles
Today’s route takes you via
delightful Rattenburg, Austria’s smallest town, to Kufstein. The impressive fortress
here offers a fantastic view over the surrounding countryside.
Day 4: Kufstein to Rosenheim
24 miles
Cycle along the Inn to
Rosenheim, a delightful town with an impressive array of architectural
styles, ranging from the 14th century market gate to the onion-shaped
dome of the parish church and the traditional Salzach style town houses.
Day 5: Rosenheim to Wasserburg
19 miles
Today you cycle to
picturesque Wasserburg, known for its medieval old town. The bridge
has existed in various forms since 1338 and its gate, shows wonderful
frescos dating to 1568.
Day 6: Wasserburg to Mühldorf
31 miles
Your route takes you
through wooded plains to Mühldorf, full of beautiful buildings dating back
to its prosperous days in the salt trade.
Day 7: Mühldorf to Braunau
33 miles
Today you pass Altötting, a
Bavarian pilgrimage town and home to the statue of the ‘Black
Madonna’ which attracts more than 1 million visitors a year. Visit
Reichersberg monastery en route to Braunau for your overnight stay.
Day 8: Braunau to Passau
33 miles
Admire Braunau’s 15th century
church with its 99m spire before departing for your final day of cycling.
You travel through a nature reserve, before reaching the baroque town of
Schärding, where you take the train to Passau.
Day 9: End of tour after breakfast
Return by train to the airport. Why not take a walk around
Passau, the meeting point of three rivers.

You will stay in double or twin rooms in three or four-star
hotel accommodation along the route. Your luggage is transported
to each overnight stop for you, so you can relax and enjoy
the cycling.
All accommodation is on a Bed & Breakfast or Half Board basis.
