This popular tour takes in the main part of the lake, but with a slightly different route and shorter
distances to our main tour, making it ideal for families and
those new to cycling. Enjoy the atmosphere and scenery of
this beautiful area, whilst taking time to relax, explore
and swim in the lake.

This popular tour takes you on purpose built cycle paths
around the picturesque lake. There are numerous local
stations around the lake that you can use the train to reduce
the distances if you choose. |
Day 1: Arrival in Bregenz*
Check into your hotel, collect your bikes
and information pack, and take a look around this pretty town.
Day 2: Bregenz to Arbon
24 miles
Today you cycle along the shores
of the lake, through the Rheinspitz nature reserve and on through Switzerland to
Arbon.
Day 3: Arbon to Constance
20 miles
Cycle via Romanshorn and
Kreuzlingen to the charming town of Constance, where you stay for two
nights.
Day 4: Optional cycle ride
26 miles
Cycle to the fairytale town of
Stein am Rhein. Transfer back to Constance by train or boat.
Day 5: Constance to Salem
18 miles
A leisurely ride takes you to the
flower island of Mainau, which dates
back to Roman times.
After visiting this
beautiful park,
cycle onto
Wallhausen
and take a
ferry to Überlingen,
from where it is
just a short cycle
ride to your
overnight stay in
Salem.
Day 6: Salem to Friedrichshafen
22 miles
Cycle along the German
side of the lake with wonderful views of
Switzerland. Stroll around Friedrichshafen’s
beautiful harbour and the Zeppelin Museum.
Day 7: Friedrichshafen to Bregenz*
22 miles
Cycle
through the romantic village of Wasserburg, to the ‘island city’ of Lindau.
Follow the lake to the Austrian town of Bregenz for your final night, with
time to explore the old town or ride the Pfänder Cable-car.
Day 8: End of tour after breakfast
Spend time sightseeing around the
old town of Bregenz.
*During the Bregenz Festival which takes place from 23 July
to 23 August you may be accommodated outside Bregenz. Tuesday,
Wednesday and Thursday arrival days are better for this period. Tickets can be booked in advance at www.bregenzerfestspiele.com.

accommodation along the route. Your luggage is transported
to each overnight stay for you, so you can relax and enjoy
the cycling.
You can choose whether to take your holiday on a Bed & Breakfast
