This tour based in northern Italy takes you along cycle paths
and roads (mostly quiet, but in sections, busy) through
undulating countryside. Please note that you will need to
take your bike over some of the bridges in Venice to get to
your hotel. If you would prefer to avoid this, please let us
know, and we can arrange for you to stay in Mestre, a short
train or bus ride from Venice. This holiday is suitable for families. |
Day 1: Arrival in Vicenza
Take a little time to get to know this lovely
city known for its Palladio architecture.
Day 2: Vicenza to Bassano del Grappa
25 miles
Pick up your
bicycle this morning and begin your tour to the town of Marostica, with
its castle and Chess Square. Continue to the charming town of Bassano
del Grappa.

from Treviso to Mestre and from here cycle or catch a train into the
beautiful city of Venice.

of the Lido and cycle along the seashore before taking another ferry to
Pellestrina island. A motor boat then transfers you to Chioggia - a miniature
Venice filled with cobblestone streets, canals and a well-known fish market.

canals, you arrive at the Riviera del Brenta, famous for the beautiful
Villa Pisani with its maze and gardens, and Padua, known for its university.
