Walking Leader Apprenticeship

A journey you'll never forget

Would like to join us on a 6 month Walking Leader Apprenticeship?

In May 2012 HF Holidays’ very first Walking Leader Apprentice spent a breathtaking summer leading our guests on walks from our Country Houses. It was a journey that took 6 months and over 900 miles of walking culminating in our apprentice achieving his Summer Mountain Leader Award.

For 2013, we have again offered this fantastic opportunity and have recently recruited another Walking Leader Apprentice to join us for six months this year. It's a fantastic opportunity, travelling to some of the most scenic places in Britain, a journey that could take our apprentice anywhere from the Brecon Beacons to the Yorkshire Dales to the Isle of Wight. As a volunteer, our apprentice will be hosted at our Country Houses and work within teams of other volunteer walking holiday leaders. They’ll be supported with accommodation, meals, travel expenses and comprehensive training to improve their skills and gain qualifications.

The apprenticeship starts each year in May and runs until October, and we'll be looking for another Walking Leader Apprentice in 2014. Look out for more details later this year.
