For a shorter break enjoy a sightseeing and walking holiday, it's a great way to explore some of Europe's wonderful cities. Your group will be accompanied by an HF Holidays's Leader who will help you discover the famous sights and lesser-known corners of these fantastic cities.

New this year, you can now discover the famous landmarks, rich historical connections and an exciting cosmopolitan atmosphere of London or the vibrant Scottish capital of Edinburgh, one of Britain's most beautiful and historic cities.

We can arrange flights from most regional airports, so you can all travel together or if you prefer, plan your own travel arrangements.

Additionally as a thank you for each booking up to 24, guests will receive a voucher for £20 for each night booked. For groups over 25, we will send a voucher to the value of £30 for each night booked.

Example itinerary - Venice

Day 1: arrival day - evening stroll to view the Rialto Bridge and the Grand Canal.

Day 2: in the company of your Leader admire the lavish palaces that line every inch of the Grand Canal as we take the ferry to St Mark's Square. Visit the Gothic Palazzo Ducale and the awesome Basilica of San Marco before crossing to the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, where the campanile provides fine views over Venice and the lagoon.

Day 3: view the beautiful interior of the church of Santa Maria Assunta and the interesting Cannaregio Quarter. We then take the ferry to the islands of Burano, Murano and Torcello to wander among the brightly painted houses and visit the Byzantine church and monastery.

Day 4: explore the Dorsoduro area's famous galleries, including the fascinating collection of Venetian paintings in the Gallerie dell'Accademia, where works range from the Byzantine period to the Renaissance. Walk via the Palazzo Dario and the great Baroque church of Santa Maria delle Salute to the Peggy Guggenheim collection which houses works by Picasso, Pollock and Kandinsky.

Day 5: before departing, wander through the narrow streets to the Scuole Grande di San Rocco and the Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, the largest church in Venice.
