Everest Trekking Itinerary |

Day 1: Depart UK |
Days 2 & 3: Arrive Kathmandu - 2 night
Explore some of the highlights of this mystical city with visits to Durbar Square and the Buddhist temple of Swayambhunath.
Days 4 - 11: Everest region - 8 nights
A short, captivating flight takes us to Lukla and the start of our trek in the magnificent mountain Kaleidoscope of the Everest region. Following in the footsteps of the legendary Everest conquerors we pass through charming villages and witness at close quarters the majesty of the high himalayas. Our route takes us to the bustling villages capital of the area, Namche Bazaar, from where Everest itself is visable, and on Tashinga, Tengboche and Mende. Throughout we are in company of the great white peaks of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kwangde and a host of other Himalayan giants.
Day 12: Kathmandu - 1 night
Morning return flight to Kathmandu followed by a walking tour of the city.
Days 13 - 15: Royal Chitwan National Park - 3 nights
A short flight from Kathmandu takes us to the lowland, Terai region of Nepal for a visit to the famous Royal Chitwan National Park home to a range of wildlife including rhino, monkey, crocodile and exotic birdlife. We can take a ride on an elephant, a river trip in a dug-out canoe and experience something of the local culture.
Day 16: Kathmandu - 1 night
Return to Kathmandu to visit Patan the third great centre in the Kathmandu valley.

Everest Base Camp Option
This classic trek to Everest Base Camp requires a very good level of stamina. Walking on good paths up to 8 hours daily at high elevations (several days over 12,000ft) the rewards are incomparable.
Days 1 - 5: As main itinerary.
Days 6 - 14: From Namche, as we make our way through small villages, along paths trodden by the great expeditions. We are completely enveloped by some of the world's highest mountains all the way to Everest Base Camp, steeped in the history of supreme endeavour and overarching ambition. We will take in the incomparable panorama from Kalapatthar at 18,450ft and return to Kathmandu in the knowledge that we have completed one of the world's greatest treks.
Day 15: Our morning flight back to Kathmandu allows us to visit Bhaktapur, the most distinctly medieval of the three cities in the Kathmandu Valley in the afternoon and our final day is given to a walking tour of its many fascinating nooks and crannies.
Day 16: Visit Patan, the third great centre in the Kathmandu valley.
Day 17: Return flight home.

Day 1: Depart UK |
Days 2 - 4: Arrive Kathmandu - 3 nights
We spend time absorbing the atmosphere of this fascinatingly different city visiting the main sites. The grounds of our delightful resort hotel will offer the chance to see an amazing variety of local birds and flowers.
Day 5: Gokarna - 1 night
Walk to Gokarna along a ridge through a beautiful pine forest, with lovely views of Kathmandu Valley.
Day 6: Nagarkot - 1 night
Explore the distinctive charms of medieval Bhaktapur and its striking temple of Nyatapola on the way to our hilltop retreat at Nagarkot.
Day 7: Dhulikel - 1 night
After witnessing sunrise over the Himalayans we hike the charming path to Dhulikel, a compact Newari town, enriched with artistic woodcarvings.
Day 8: Patan - 1 night
Travel to Patan, the second major city of Kathmandu Valley, full of Hindu temples and Buddhist monuments.
Days 9 & 10: Hattiban - 2 nights
Move on to Hattiban for a full-day walk, with majestic views of the Himalayas.
Days 11 - 13: Pokhara - 3 nights
We take short flight to Pokhara, in one of Nepal's most picturesque settings, where we walk along ridges and valleys in the lea of the awesomely beautiful Annapurna range, with time to relax in ethnic villages.
Days 14 & 15: Royal Chitwan National Park - 2 nights
A scenic drive takes us to the famous Royal Chitwan National Park, set in the lowland, Terai region, of Nepal. We can ride on an elephant, with close-up views of magnificent rhinos, and take a river trip in a dug-out canoe, experiencing something of the local culture with a visit to a nearby village.
Day 16: Kathmandu - 1 night
Return to Kathmandu for a farewell dinner.

Two itineraries which make the most of this classical trekking region in the foothills of Mount Everest, the walk to Base Camp being a challenging undertaking.

Lodge trekking itinerary: On the trek and in the Chitwan Safari Park we stay in comfortable lodges with private en-suite facilities.
Everest Base camp option: On days 6 to 13 we will use comfortable camping or local, basic lodges.
In Kathmandu both tours are accommodated at the Park Village Resort, a very comfortable hotel on the outskirts of the city.

In Kathmandu we are accommodated at the Park Village Resort, a very comfortable hotel on the outskirts of the city, for 3 nights and a comfortable hotel in the centre of the city for our last night. All other hotels are comparatively luxurious lodge or resort hotels with very good facilities.
Annapurna Trekking Options: We camp in relative luxury with full trekking facilities and a team of porters.
