Breakfast

Hotel Belavista da Luz offers an extensive buffet breakfast, including:

Evening meal

Hotel Belavista da Luz provides an excellent three-course dinner; you will make your choice at dinner from a selection of continental dishes including typical Portugese dishes such as Feijoada, a traditional bean stew made from pork in various forms with beans, tomatoes and vegetables and generally served with rice. Jardineira, a vegetable stew with lamb, beef or pork. Arroz de Marisco, seafood pasta or rice, which is made with fish and shellfish and is generally a little spicy, and chicken piri piri, which is marinaded, grilled and basted with a hot chilli sauce. Sardines are grilled on the BBQ when in season and fresh fish is available most evenings. Jugs of cold tap water are served at dinner. Any special dietary requirements should be discussed with reception on arrival.

Lunches (Payable locally)

Hotel Belavista da Luz can supply picnic lunches, which should be ordered the night before. Alternatively you may prefer to buy ingredients from local supermarkets, or sometimes it may be possible to eat in a local café whilst out on the walks. Your Leaders will advise you of the options.

In the Evenings

Each evening your walking leaders will tell you about the choice of walks for the next day and answer any questions you may have. You may choose to walk down to the beachfront and enjoy a drink overlooking the sea or just enjoy a drink and a chat after the meal.

The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. There is normally a good mix of ages, of new clients and 'regulars' from Britain and overseas, and of couples, friends and people travelling alone.
