Frances Carroll  Frances Carroll

Frances will be leading this holiday on 1 August 2012

Frances has been an enthusiastic student of English literature since primary school when a Mrs Darling sparked her interest! She loves visiting the areas where various writers lived and that they knew well, and tries to relate the reality to the fiction. Many years ago she was involved in running a small theatre and even occasionally appeared on stage. Now she works as a Blue Badge Guide, concentrating on literary tours and religious themes. She is also a keen hiker and tries to find routes that will allow her to visit some sort of literary shrine.

Frances is also leading the following holidays:

Theatre by the Lake - 7 July 2012, 11 July 2012, 1 September 2012 and 5 September 2012

Wordsworth's Literary Lakeland - Derwentwater, 13 June 2012

Discovery Tours - Sedbergh, 15 September 2012, and Whitby, 26 May 2012
