St Wolfgang

Until the 16th century, St. Wolfgang was the third most important pilgrimage site in Europe after Rome and Santiago de Compostella. Visit the church with its magnificent altar, depicting the birth of Christ.

Unterach and Lake Attersee

Unterach is a pretty village situated on the shores of Lake Attersee.

Mondsee

Visit the beautiful church in the centre of town, famous for the wedding scene in the film “The Sound of Music”.

St Gilgen

Smaller than St Wolfgang, St Gilgen is a lovely town with a number of baroque and rococo buildings. The town was also the home of Mozart’s mother.

Zwölferhorn Cable Car

Don’t miss a trip by cable car up to the Zwölferhorn. The views from the top are absolutely incredible.

The Schafberg Cog Railway

Taking the Schafberg Cog Railway to the top of the Schafberg Peak is a great way to finish your holiday in style. Enjoy scenic views as you travel just under 4 miles and 4,000 feet to the summit.
