Given his keen interest in art and architecture, it was inevitable that Dave would fall in love with Barcelona. As part of his career as a youth worker, Dave regularly visited the major cities of Europe with groups of young people: on Inter-Rail journeys, conferences and youth exchanges. Of all these cities, Barcelona has perhaps become his favourite. He sees it as a city at ease with itself, and one which is proud of its Catalan history and culture.

Dorothy Woodcock

Dorothy will be leading this holiday on 8 October 2012

Dorothy has led City Breaks in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Prague and Copenhagen and loves showing guests the hidden gems of the cities as well as all the highlights. She recently visited Dubrovnik on holiday and is excited at the prospect of leading in this beautifully restored city. An important part of a City Break is sampling the local food and Dorothy enjoys introducing guests to memorable culinary experiences.  Dorothy is a retired German teacher and she speaks French, Spanish and Italian. Her interests are many and varied and include hiking, cycling, bridge and gardening.
