By car:

It is possible to leave your car in the hotel car park for the duration of the holiday. From Carlisle leave the M6 at junction 43 and follow the A69 eastwards for approximately 20 miles to the sign for Haltwhistle. From Newcastle follow the A69 westwards for approximately 37 miles to the sign for Haltwhistle. The hotel is located on the main street.

There is an hourly rail service on the Tyne Valley line between Carlisle and Newcastle. From Carlisle it is a 30-minute journey to Haltwhistle.  From Newcastle it is a 1 hour journey to Haltwhistle. Our hotel is located only ½ mile from the railway station.

By air:

There are a number of low-cost flights from around the UK, to Newcastle and Manchester - see http://www.easyjet.com/ or http://www.ryanair.com/. If you are flying from overseas there are many international flights to Manchester Airport and to a lesser degree Newcastle Airport.

Manchester International Airport has its own station, from where there are regular trains to the centre of Manchester and Preston - see http://www.manchesterairport.co.uk/. From Newcastle Airport the metro service runs every 15 mins to Newcastle Central Station, from where there are onward trains to Haltwhistle - see http://www.newcastleairport.com/.
