From £2425 - 13 to 14 nights
We use the best hotels available in the places visited. Accommodation in the more remote areas can be quite basic, and are generally at 2 or 3-star European standards, but always clean and welcoming.
Arriving in Kathmandu, we stay at the Hotel Malla, a 4-star hotel located in the centre of the city in the Thamel area.

In Thimpu, the Peaceful Resort offers a very comfortable place to relax, a little out of the centre, and with very friendly and efficient service.

In Punakha we stay at the Dragon’s Nest Resort, located in a lovely position on the Tsang Chu river in the countryside south of the town. There are 18 large rooms with excellent views, a small restaurant and spacious grounds offering a welcome place to unwind amid remarkable mountain scenery.
Continuing into the Phobjikha Valley and Trongsa, we spend an evening at the Gakling Farm guest house. We then move on to the Yangkhil Resort which has large, comfortable rooms and pleasant grounds with views across to Trongsa Dzong.
In Bumthang, stay at the Countryside Resort, a fairly basic but extremely welcoming lodge, and a popular place to enjoy a drink by the wood fire.
In Paro, accommodation is at the Silverpine Hotel, a very pleasant small hotel in a traditional building in the heart of the Paro Valley.
Returning to Kathmandu, we again stay at the Hotel Malla.
