Brecon is around 1 hour from either junction 8 of the M50 at Ross-on-Wye, or junction 24 of the M4 at Newport. A large car park is available in the grounds with ample free parking. If you are using a sat-nav, the postcode for Nythfa House is LD3 7NN.

The nearest station is at Abergavenny on the line from Newport to Shrewsbury.

By taxi or bus

The 20 mile journey from Abergavenny station to Brecon, can be made by taxi or bus. Taxis cost approx £30 per journey - less if shared. We will send you a taxi booking form prior to your holiday.

Alternatively the X43 bus runs approximately every hour from Abergavenny station to the centre of Brecon - journey time around 1 hour. See www.traveline.org.uk for bus times. Upon arrival at Brecon it around 10 minutes’ walk from the bus stop to Nythfa House.

By air

From London Heathrow take the Heathrow Express (faster but expensive) or the Heathrow Connect train (slower but cheaper) to London Paddington station. From here take a mainline train to Newport and change here for the local train to Abergavenny. Total journey time to Abergavenny around 3½ hours. 

From Gatwick Airport take a train to Reading, then change here for a mainline train to Newport. Change at Newport for a local train to Abergavenny Total journey time to Abergavenny around 4 hours.
