Bridge & Walking holiday

Arrival day

Your room will be available from 2.30pm onwards. Please join us for tea between 4pm and 5pm to meet your leader and fellow guests

The first bridge competition will start at 5pm.

Other days

09:30 – 15:30  A choice of guided walks lead by experienced HF Holidays' walks leaders. Details of the walks will be available on arrival.

17:00 – 22:30  Bridge competition, with a break for the evening meal.

You are of course free to opt out of any of the sessions but it would be helpful if you could let your leader know should you decide not to attend any of the evening competitions.

On 7 nights holidays there is a free day, usually the Wednesday, where you may enjoy exploring the local area.

Small prizes will be awarded for competitions held during the holiday.

If you are on your own, there is no need to worry about whom you are going to partner, as partnerships will be arranged when necessary, and may be changed from day to day. Leaders are always happy to play when required and enjoy partnering all guests.

What to bring

All your bridge stationery and equipment will be supplied. You may, however, like to bring a notebook and pen to make your own notes.

EBU members - remember to bring your EBU membership number to earn Master Points on these holidays.

To enjoy your walking comfortably and safely, it is essential that your footwear, clothing and equipment are suitable for the conditions likely to be encountered. Britain is famous for its changeable weather, so our advice is to come prepared for all eventualities.
