Harry was brought up in Scotland, spent 15 years in Australia and now lives in Kent, England. He was a school teacher for over 30 years and is now retired. He qualified as an HF Holidays' walks leader six years ago and has led many walks in England and France. He also enjoys leading City Breaks and speaks fluent German and French, and also some Dutch and Italian. He has led City Breaks in Barcelona, Seville, Bruges, and Prague. His pastimes are skiing, cycling, and swimming. He loves being an HF Holidays' leader because of all the wonderful people he has met from all over the world. His focus is on his guests and he tries to cater for everyone’s individual needs.

Sheila Ripper

Sheila has a background of education, qualifications and experience in a range of environmental subjects, originally gaining a degree in geography. A variety of previous professions has included working for HF Holidays in both the Walking and Leisure Activities Departments and she has also been a regular leader in gardens and other touring holidays for HF Holidays for some years.  Based in Cumbria and recently retired from the daytime office job, Sheila enjoys having more time to spend in the hills and countryside, as well as gardening, walking, and travelling this planet (as far as the gardening calendar will permit!). 

Warwick Burton

Warwick will be leading this holiday on 23 December 2012

Warwick lives in historic York. He has a passion for history, art and architecture and enjoys sharing this with others. He is a professional guide, running his own tourist guiding service. He is also a lecturer for NADFAS and the WEA in history and architecture. Warwick has travelled widely in Europe, lectures on Italian and Renaissance & Baroque Art & Architecture, and speaks several European languages.
