The Peveril of the Peak has 45 en-suite bedrooms, all located in the main building.

Standard en-suite rooms      

Our standard rooms offer comfortable accommodation and an en-suite bathroom.

All standard rooms have:

Premium rooms

Premium rooms are available at just £5 extra per person per night. 

All premium rooms have:

• Extra space or exceptional views

• Alarm clock with iPod player
• Hairdryer
• Enhanced toiletries
• Towelling robe and complimentary slippers
• Room available from 12 noon on arrival day

Single rooms

Standard single rooms are available for an extra £8 per night. 

Family rooms                                   

If you are travelling with your family, we have a selection of 3 and 4-bedded rooms.

All family rooms have:

• Full-sized twin or double beds for adults
• Bunk beds or occasional beds for children
• En-suite bathroom with WC and shower or bath
• Tea and coffee making facilities
• Television
• Hairdryer

• All our Country Houses are tailored to walkers and outdoor enthusiasts and have excellent boot and drying rooms and a mini-shop for essentials such as maps, postcards and toiletries. 
• On the ground floor there is a large reception area and lounge, a pleasant dining room and a bar.
• Upstairs there is a large function room and additional bar. This is a very flexible space that can be used for weddings and functions, for dancing, or as a very comfortable room for many leisure activity holidays.
• Free internet access offered on a dedicated PC and Wifi is available in some public rooms.  There is also a range of board games and books.
• The Peveril of the Peak has extensive grounds with an attractive patio and garden with wide-ranging views of the surrounding countryside.

A footpath leads directly from the car park to the famous stepping stones at the base of Dove Dale, less than a mile away. Also nearby is the Tissington Trail, an old railway line that is now a traffic-free route for walkers and cyclists.

All holidays at our Country Houses are Full Board with breakfast, picnic lunch and evening meal included.

Breakfast                            

Start your day with our extensive breakfast. Select from our cold buffet and/or a full cooked breakfast.

Hot dishes

Porridge, sausages, bacon, eggs (scrambled, boiled, poached or fried), tomato, baked beans and mushrooms

Picnic lunches

Choose from our self-select picnic lunches.

Crisps and snacks, fresh fruit, dried fruit and nuts, chocolate bars, sweets and biscuits

Dinner                 

The relaxed dinner is a highlight of any stay at our Country Houses - with tables seating up to 10 and no seating plan, it offers a great opportunity to get to know fellow guests.  There is always a choice of dishes for every course, featuring good British cooking and often local specialities. Vegetarian meals are always available.

Drinks  

All our Country Houses have a well-stocked bar serving beer, wine and spirits. 

Guided Walking

Enjoy a glass of wine or local beer in the bar before hearing about the next day's walks.  After dinner there will be an activity or entertainment which you will be welcome to join.  These vary from week to week but could include a ‘darts and dominos’ competition night, an illustrated talk about the River Dove and local area, quizzes or a board games night; alternatively relax in our lounges or bar.

Leisure Activities

Many of our Leisure Activities holidays continue into the evening with programmed sessions.  Other holidays will have the evenings free, and you will be welcome to join in other social activities that may be happening in the house.

Family holidays

On our Cycling & Walking for Families the evening activities will be geared towards children of all ages. 

Freedom Breaks

Guests on Freedom Breaks which are scheduled alongside Guided Walking holidays are entirely welcome to join in the organised evening activities.  Please note, not all Freedom Breaks will be with these holidays – if the evening activities are important to you, please check before booking.

Depending on your travel dates, there may be activities on offer in the house in the evening which you are welcome to take part in.
