Canadian medical services are excellent, but can be expensive and in some areas surcharges are imposed for visitors. Medical insurance is therefore essential.
Climate
We travel to Western Canada in the summer months, when you can expect hot and sunny days. On the coast daytime temperatures are up to 30°C (86°F), but it is cooler in the mountains. With the continental climate, summers in Canada tend to be drier than Britain but in the mountains especially it is advisable to be prepared for changeable weather and some rain.
Money
The local currency in Canada is the Canadian Dollar.
Tipping
An amount agreed with our local agents as appropriate has been included for all main elements of the tour and no further tips will be expected. You are of course free to offer something extra should you particularly wish to do so. For any extra meals or services and for all alcoholic drinks you should allow for a 10-15% tip.
