Our ‘with flight’ holidays include a transfer from Copenhagen airport to the hotel. You will meet your HF Holidays' leader at the airport and transfer to the Hotel DGI-byens by train. Please note that there is a 250m walk from the train station to the hotel.

All our City Breaks can also be booked without a flight. This is ideal if you are travelling from overseas, or prefer to make your own arrangements from your local airport. If you choose this option the transfer to the hotel is not included.

By air to Copenhagen

Transfer to the centre of Copenhagen by train. The DYI-byens hotel is located adjacent to Copenhagen’s main train station.

By train

Travel by Eurostar to Brussels. Take the Thalys train to Cologne and then the overnight sleeper train to Copenhagen departing Cologne at 22:28 and arriving in Copenhagen at 09:59.

How to reach the hotel DGI-Byens for independent travellers:

Train: The train station is situated in Terminal 3.  There are direct high-speed DSB trains to Copenhagen Central Station (journey time - 12 minutes).  It is then about a 7 minute walk to the Hotel Mercur. 

From the station walk northwest on Bernstorffgade, keep slightly left to stay on Bernstorffgade.  Continue onto Hammerichsgade.  Turn left at Ved Vesterport.  Turn right into Vester Farimagsgade.  You will see the Hotel Mercur.

Metro: a Metro (tel: 3311 1700. www.m.dk) extension (line M2) opened in 2007, connecting to the city centre. The Metro station is also situated in Terminal 3.

Bus: Several buses, include bus 30, 250S and 500S, run from the airport to the city centre.

Taxi: Taxis are readily available from ranks outside the Arrivals areas of Terminals 1 and 3.
