By train

The nearest station is at Moreton-in-Marsh. This is the line from London and Oxford to Worcester.

Alternatively, you may find it easier to take the train to Cheltenham Spa station. This is on the main line from the Midlands to the West Country and is served by direct trains from Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Edinburgh. For train times and ticket prices see: www.nationalrail.co.uk.

By taxi or bus

The 8 mile journey from Moreton-in-Marsh station to Bourton-on-the-Water can be made by taxi or bus. Taxis cost approx £19 per journey - less if shared. There is also a good bus service from Moreton-in-Marsh to Bourton-on-the Water - journey time approx 20 minutes.

From Cheltenham Spa it is 17 miles to Bourton-on-the-Water. Taxis cost approx £35 per journey - less if shared. Journey time by taxi is approx 30 minutes. The same journey can also be made by bus, but requires one change at Cheltenham bus station – journey time around 1 hour.
