Ilkley

An elegant spa town, surrounded by the spectacular scenery of Ilkley Moor.

Manor House Art Gallery & Museum

This beautiful, converted manor house features a permanent display of Ilkley’s past, including prehistoric and Roman artefacts from the Roman fort which once stood here.

Bolton Abbey & Barden Tower

Explore the ruins of the Abbey and discover a landscape full of history and legend. Barden Tower, beyond Strid Wood, was originally one of six hunting lodges within the forest of Barden and rebuilt in the late 15th Century.

Burnsall

This picturesque riverside village is situated by an ancient packhorse bridge, crossing a bend in the meandering River Wharfe.  

Grassington

Explore the village’s cobbled streets and fine stone buildings. You will find a selection of family-owned shops and cosy restaurants around the village square.

Kettlewell

This is a quiet picturesque village, set in the heart of Wharfedale, complete with Yorkshire stone cottages, tearooms and a public house.

Ribblehead Viaduct

At 104ft tall and 440 yards long the Ribblehead Viaduct is a truly impressive sight. Today enthusiasts still come to marvel at the structure and to watch the regular steam trains crossing.

Dent Head Viaduct

This second viaduct also forms part of the Settle to Carlisle Railway and was built around the same time as Ribblehead.

Dent

This lovely village comes complete with whitewashed stone buildings and cobbled streets. It is well known for its 18th Century hand knitting industry and its ‘terrible’ knitters, so called because of the speed of their needles.

Sedbergh

At the foot of the Howgills, this historic market town dates back to Saxon times. The old world atmosphere, cobbled streets and stone buildings afford a unique character and charm against the rugged eastern fells of the Lake District.  

Bowness-on-Windermere

This grand Victorian holiday town sits on the edge on the sparkling waters of Lake Windermere, in the heart of the Lake District.

The World of Beatrix Potter

Situated in the centre of Bowness this museum recreates many of Beatrix Potter famous books, which depict the tales of Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddleduck and Mr McGregor.

Windermere Steamboats & Museum

The museum offers a wealth of information about life on and around Lake Windermere. Unique features include a historic collection of steam and motorboats from the Victorian and Edwardian eras, and a "Swallows and Amazons" exhibition.
