Guided Walking & Sightseeing at Sarlat

Le Relais de Moussidière has 35 bedrooms.  Some have a balcony or terrace with garden views. The rooms vary in size and are decorated with interesting features, wall pictures and lovely fabrics.

All bedrooms have:

• en-suite bathroom with shower or bath
• fridge 
• telephone
• central heating
• hairdryer
• safety deposit box

The hotel has a pleasant open-plan cocktail bar, lounge area and dining room, and an attractive terrace by the outdoor swimming pool with dining tables and chairs.

Our holidays at Le Relais de Moussidière are on a Half Board basis and include breakfast and evening meal.

Breakfast

The hotel offers a buffet style continental breakfast:

• bread, croissants and brioche
• butter and preserves
• coffee, tea or chocolate
• cereal
• fruit juices
• locally-made yoghurt
• whole fruit
• fruit salad
• ham
• cheese
• hard-boiled eggs

Evening Meal

Dinner at Le Relais de Moussidière is a four course set menu. Each course is carefully prepared by David the Chef from fresh local ingredients. Over the course of the week you will experience many of the local delicacies for which Sarlat and the Dordogne are famous, such as duck, goose and fois gras. Vegetarians are well catered for and special dietary requirements are no problem if advanced notice is given. Each evening the chef will come and talk to guests to explain each of the different dishes served at dinner, giving a really personal service.

Le Relais de Moussidière has a well-stocked bar serving beer, wine and spirits.

Lunches (payable locally)

Le Relais de Moussidière will provide picnic lunches, which should be ordered the night before. Alternatively you can buy ingredients for a picnic lunch from the nearby supermarket. On certain days it may be possible to eat in a café whilst out on the walks; your Leaders will advise you of the options. 

In the Evenings

Each evening your walking leaders will tell you about the choice of walks for the next day and answer any questions you may have. During the evening you may like to join in an optional organised evening activity, such as a quiz or a visit to the local skittle alley.

The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. There is normally a good mix of ages, of new clients and 'regulars' from Britain and overseas, and of couples, friends and people travelling alone.
