Self-Guided Trail on the Dorset Coast Path

By car:

Depending on where you are staying, it may be possible to leave your car at the guesthouse/hotel at the start or the end of the trail. Please enquire.

To return to your car from Lulworth Cove take a bus to Dorchester. Services are limited, contact www.dorsetforyou.com/bustimes to check when buses run.

From Dorchester take the bus to Lyme Regis. This is a regular service, with departures approximately once an hour.

Alternatively, take a taxi from Lulworth Cove to Lyme Regis.

By train:

As this holiday starts and finishes in different places, travelling by train is usually the most convenient method of travel. For further information and train times visit www.nationalrail.co.uk

The best arrival train station is Axminster. From here take the bus to Lyme Regis. Alternatively, take a taxi from Axminster to Lyme Regis.

Returning home, the nearest train station to Lulworth Cove is Wool. Take a taxi to the station. Alternatively, trains from Weymouth to London are direct and take just under three hours.
