Play Keyboards (Next Step)

This holiday will help you build on your electronic keyboard skills or existing piano skills. As well as learning new chords you will learn more about musical harmony and the keyboard. You will learn how to add your own introductions, endings and fills to the melody. You will also do some simple composing and improvising. This is an enjoyable holiday, where you will be putting your new skills into practice, by playing as part of a group. Individual lessons with the tutor are included in the holiday.

All the music for the week will be provided. However, we may conclude with an informal concert and if you would like to play something at this, you may like to bring some music for a party piece. Please bring your keyboard and manual if you have it. Bring a keyboard stand and headphones too if you can. If you do not have your own keyboard please let us know, as we only have a small number of keyboards for guests to borrow for the holiday. 

Day 1: Arrival day.

Your room will be available from 2.30pm onwards. Please join us for tea between 4pm and 5pm to meet the leader and your fellow guests.

5pm – 6pm                  Introduction to the holiday

8.45pm – 9.30pm        Music activity session

Other days:

9.30am – 12:30pm      Music activity with a coffee break

The afternoons are free for you to explore the area or relax in the house. Guests are welcome to continue playing throughout the afternoon if they wish.

5pm – 6pm                  Music activity if required

9pm – 10pm                Music activity
