By train

The nearest station is at Taunton. This is on the main line between London and the West Country and is also served by direct trains from Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Edinburgh. For train times and ticket prices see: www.nationalrail.co.uk.

Coach transfer to Holnicote House

Saturdays only: A direct service operates from Taunton to Holnicote House. We will send you a transfer booking form prior to your holiday. The 30 mile journey takes approximately 1 hour and departs from the southbound entrance of Taunton railway station, near the taxi rank, at 3.45pm and will also collect at Taunton bus station at 4pm.

The return journey will leave Holnicote House at 8.30am and will be at Taunton railway station for approximately 9.30am and at Taunton bus station for 9.45am. At Easter and Christmas the service may operate on different days.

The cost per person for the return journey is £25; the single journey is £15; a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children) is £75.

By taxi or bus

The 30 mile journey from Taunton station to Holnicote House, can also be made by taxi or bus. Taxis cost approx £50 per journey - less if shared. We will send you a taxi booking form prior to your holiday.

The return journey can be arranged on your behalf by the House Manager.

The 28 bus operates between Taunton and Minehead. Change here for the 39 bus or the 300 bus that will take you to Selworthy turn (which is at the end of Holnicote House drive). By air

From London Heathrow take the Heathrow Express (faster but expensive) or the Heathrow Connect train (slower but cheaper) to London Paddington station. Direct trains run from here to Taunton. Total journey time to Taunton around 2½ hours. 

From Gatwick Airport take a train to Reading, then change here for a mainline train to Taunton. Total journey time to Taunton around 2¾ hours. 

By National Express coach
