The ferry terminal at Lymington is 14 miles from the M27 near Southampton. If you would like to leave your car on the mainland there is a large car park adjacent to the ferry terminal at Lymington Pier (allow £6 per day or £38 per week).
If you prefer to take your car to the island it is just 4 miles from the ferry terminal at Yarmouth to Freshwater Bay. A large car park is available in the grounds with ample free parking. If you are using a sat-nav, the postcode for Freshwater Bay House is PO40 9RB.

The car and passenger ferry to the Isle of Wight is operated by WightLink. For ferry times please phone 0871 376 1000 or visit www.wightlink.co.uk. The crossing takes 35 minutes. Foot passenger tickets can also be purchased from HF Holidays. We will send you a transfer booking form prior to your holiday. There is car parking available at the ferry terminal in Lymington. If you wish to take your car on the ferry, this must be pre-booked.

The 3½ mile journey from Yarmouth takes approximately 20 minutes, with a cost of around £9 per taxi or £3 per person if there are enough people for a minibus. A system of taxi sharing will be operated wherever possible. We will send you a transfer booking form prior to your holiday. The return journey can be arranged on your behalf by the House Manager.
A new bus service (from February 2012) operates from Yarmouth to Freshwater Bay (FYT Community Bus). Visit the website for the timetable www.fytbus.org.uk

The nearest airport is at Southampton, however, the Isle of Wight is also easily reached from the major airports at London Heathrow or London Gatwick. See www.nationalrail.co.uk for details on reaching the Isle of Wight from these airports by train.
Southampton Airport has its own station and is about 55mins by train to Lymington Pier, with one change at Brockenhurst.
If you are arriving at London Heathrow the journey to Lymington Pier takes around 2hrs 30mins. First take the Railair bus to Woking station, then a mainline train to Brockenhurst, where you should connect for the branch line to Lymington Pier.
From Gatwick Airport the journey to Lymington Pier also takes around 2hrs 30mins. Take a train direct from the airport to Clapham Junction and change here for the mainline train to Brockenhurst. Finally a short journey down the branch line will take you to Lymington Pier.
