Freedom Breaks offer a flexible way to enjoy some of Britain's most scenic areas.

From our base at Haytor it is an easy walk to the famous Haytor Rocks and the open moor beyond. The eastern edge of the moor is also very accessible and here you’ll find a gentler landscape of meandering river valleys and rolling hills, a perfect opportunity to see the wealth of wildlife which inhabits this undisturbed environment.

Highlights of your stay could include:

  • Haytor Rocks  - one of the best-known landmarks in the National Park is just a short walk from Moorlands House
  • South Devon Coast  - glorious beaches and the beautiful coastal path
  • Becky Falls, voted Top Beauty Spot in Devon, with stunning walks and scenery
  • Kents Cavern in Torquay, possibly the most important Stone Age cave in Britain. Discover the unique history of these 2 million-year-old caves
  • Living Coasts - a zoo featuring a range of coastal creatures from penguins to fur seals, puffins to waders and sea ducks

Great value.  What’s included:

  • Full board accommodation
  • All the Country House facilities
  • Freedom Break Guide – full of information about local attractions, activities and suggested itineraries to help plan your holiday
  • A free Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 scale Explorer map of the local area for every booking
  • Use of the Freedom Breaks Knowledge Box – a unique resource with maps, guidebooks, routes, and everything you need to make the most of your Freedom Break
