Freedom Breaks are a flexible way to enjoy some of Britain's most scenic areas.

To the north of Malham are the famous Yorkshire three peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. The village of Malham with its celebrated natural features offers you the chance to marvel at the immense cove, carved by nature from the limestone hills, walk to Janet’s Foss waterfall, or scramble up the dry valley of Gordale Scar.

Highlights of your stay could include:

  • Walk to magnificent Malham Cove, a natural amphitheatre carved from the limestone cliffs by an ancient waterfall
  • Great walks, ranging from gentle valley strolls to the high peaks of the Yorkshire Dales
  • The spa town of Harrogate with fabulous shopping, fine cuisine & glorious gardens. Visit the Turkish baths & health spa, royal pump room & museum, and RHS gardens at Harlow Carr
  • Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal - the largest monastic ruins in the country and a spectacular Georgian water garden
  • Haworth & the Bronte Parsonage Museum – and nearby Top Withins Farm, the inspiration for Wuthering Heights
  • Relaxing at Newfield Hall and enjoying the indoor swimming pool

  • Freedom Break Guide – full of information about local attractions, activities and suggested itineraries to help plan your holiday
  • A free Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 scale Explorer map of the local area for every booking
  • Use of the Freedom Breaks Knowledge Box – a unique resource with maps, routes, guidebooks, and everything you need to make the most of your Freedom Break
