High Routes at Les Contamines

Hotel La Chemenaz has 38 spacious bedrooms decorated in cosy Savoyard style, and many with balconies and magnificent mountain views.

All bedrooms have:

• en-suite bathroom with shower or bath (a number of the baths are only 2/3 length).
• telephone
• satellite television

Hotel La Chemenaz has a lounge and bar area, which are open-plan with cosy alcoves.

In front of the hotel is a garden, with tables and chairs for guests’ use

There is an outdoor heated swimming pool.

Also available in the basement is a sauna, spa pool, and boot room.

Our holidays at Hotel La Chemenaz are on a Half Board basis and include breakfast and evening meal.

Breakfast

Hotel La Chemenaz offers a self service continental breakfast:

• coffee, tea & chocolate

Evening Meal

Dinner at Hotel La Chemenaz is served in the dining room, which is set around a superb fireplace creating a cosy ambience to enjoy your 4 course meal. The set menu comprises traditional Savoyard dishes: a starter, main course, cheese and dessert. The menu is available the evening before. Alternatives for vegetarians are always available if requested in advance. Guests with special dietary requirements are asked to discuss their needs with the manager on arrival.

Hotel La Chemenaz has a well-stocked bar serving wine and spirits.

Lunches (Payable locally)

Hotel La Chemenaz can supply picnic lunches which should be ordered the night before. Alternatively it is possible to buy ingredients from local shops or on some days to eat at one of the mountain cafés; your leaders will advise you of the options.

In the Evenings

Each evening your walking leaders will tell you about the choice of walks for the next day and answer any questions you may have. During the evening you may like to join in an optional organised evening activity, such as a quiz or a visit to the local skittle alley.

The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. There is normally a good mix of ages, of new clients and 'regulars' from Britain and overseas, and of couples, friends and people travelling alone.
