High on the moors of this beautiful national park, Moorlands and its gardens are on the line where the green of the valley gives way to the brown of the moor.  This fine Country House is situated below Haytor Rocks, one of Dartmoor's best known landmarks.  It's a brilliant location for exploring, and inspired Agatha Christie to write her first novel, The Mysterious Affair at Styles, here in 1917.  Torbay with its famous resort towns is within half an hour's drive.
