Nythfa House has 26 bedrooms. Most are located in the main house, with others in garden annexes.

Standard en-suite rooms  

Our standard rooms offer comfortable accommodation and an en-suite bathroom.

All standard rooms have:

Premium rooms

Premium rooms are available at just £5 extra per person per night. 

All premium rooms have:

• Room available from 12 noon on arrival day

Value rooms                                      

A limited number of value rooms are available at a discount of £5 per person per night. Our value rooms have the same facilities as our standard rooms, but don’t have an en-suite bathroom.

All value rooms have:

• Hairdryer 

Single rooms

Standard single rooms are available for an extra £8 per night. 

Family rooms                   

If you are travelling with your family, we have a selection of 3 and 4-bedded rooms.

All family rooms have:

• Full-sized twin or double beds for adults
• Bunk beds or occasional beds for children
• En-suite bathroom with WC and shower or bath
• Tea and coffee making facilities
• TV
• Hairdryer

All our Country Houses are tailored to walkers and outdoor enthusiasts and have excellent boot and drying rooms, laundry facilities and a mini-shop for essentials such as maps, postcards and toiletries. 

In the main house there is a large upstairs lounge, an attractive dining room and a spacious bar. 

The ballroom is suitable for dancing, evening talks and also for some of our indoor leisure activity holidays.

This links with the pleasant conservatory which looks out onto the garden.

Free internet access offered on a dedicated PC and Wifi is available in some public rooms.  There is also a range of board games and books.

A separate building houses the indoor swimming pool.

The house is surrounded by extensive gardens that contain a putting green and croquet lawn.

We are now pleased to announce that in partnership with the Retreat we will be offering you the chance to indulge in holistic and beauty treatments at Nythfa House. The Retreat offers professional treatments including relaxing full body massages, luxury facials and foot massages to rest those tired feet after a days walking and exploring.

All holidays at our Country Houses are Full Board with breakfast, picnic lunch and evening meal included.

Start your day with our extensive breakfast. Select from our cold buffet and/or a full cooked breakfast.

Dinner                 

The relaxed dinner is a highlight of any stay at our Country Houses - with tables seating up to 10 and no seating plan, it offers a great opportunity to get to know fellow guests.  There is always a choice of dishes for every course, featuring good British cooking and often local specialities. Vegetarian meals are always available.

Drinks  

All our Country Houses have a well-stocked bar serving beer, wine and spirits.

Guided Walking

Enjoy a glass of wine or local beer in the bar before hearing about the next day's walks.  After dinner there will be an activity or entertainment which you will be welcome to join.  These vary from week to week but could include a talk from a local speaker from the Brecon Beacons National Park or the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team.  On other evenings you can take part in other organised activities or simply relax in the house.

Leisure Activities

Many of our Leisure Activities holidays continue into the evening with programmed sessions.  Other holidays will have the evenings free, and you will be welcome to join in other social activities that may be happening in the house.

Family holidays

On our Guided Walking for Families the evening activities will be geared towards children of all ages, and you may get chance to see a falconry display or take part in a Wii tournament.

Unmissable Britain

We offer a range of evenings focusing on the local area, including a spectacular night out in Cardiff and a talk from a local speaker; on other evenings, there may be the opportunity to see a falconry display in the grounds, or why not chat with other guests and leaders in the bar. 

Freedom Breaks

Guests on Freedom Breaks which are scheduled alongside Guided Walking holidays are entirely welcome to join in the organised evening activities.  Please note, not all Freedom Breaks will be with these holidays – if the evening activities are important to you, please check before booking.
