Liz Oakley

Liz has devoted her career to lecturing, teaching and writing on literature and theatre. Academic study has always attracted her, especially on theatrical subjects such as Shakespeare, while on a practical level she has directed many plays for teenage actors, frequently adapting stories and novels for use on stage. Autumn 2009 saw the publication of Inseparable Siblings, a biography of the playwright Laurence Housman and his suffragist sister Clemence. Her current work in progress is a play on the Brontës and she takes much pleasure in leading Literary and Theatre breaks for HF Holidays.
