The Herriot Way is named after James Herriot who began his veterinary practice in Yorkshire in the late 1930s. This guided walking trail holiday in the Yorkshire Dales visits the places in which he lived and worked, made famous by his books and the TV series All Creatures Great and Small.

Highlights

• An enjoyable circular walk beginning and ending in Hawes, linking many of the settings for James Herriot’s All Creatures Great and Small
• The attractive valley of Wensleydale, famous for its cheese and rich pastoral landscape
• Wild and remote Swaledale with its pretty Yorkshire Dales villages of Reeth and Keld
