In this short break we will visit two historic houses, set in the backdrop of the beautiful scenery of Derbyshire and the Peak District and learn about the impact on the local area.
Holiday Highlights:
- Chatsworth House – described as the Palace of the Peak, is one of the country’s great treasure houses; home to art collections spanning 4,000 years. The garden is also famous, with spectacular water features and sculptures
- Haddon Hall – a 14th century gem looking much as it did when Henry VIII's elder brother Arthur used to visit. Walk through the beautiful Long Gallery and magnificent terraced gardens
