Uncover the area’s rich heritage as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution on a full day visit to the many museums at Ironbridge Gorge. Discover the inland port town of Stourport-on-Severn, built as a result of the opening of James Brindley’s canal. We’ll also take a ride on the Severn Valley Railway and visit the Royal Worcester porcelain factory.

We’ll look at the social implications as well as the transport networks of the time. Our expert leader will enhance the day excursions into the region with illustrated evening talks.
