Holnicote House is around 1 hour from junction 23 of the M5 at Bridgewater. A large car park is available in the grounds with ample free parking. If you are using a sat-nav, the postcode for Holnicote House is TA24 8TJ.

By train

The nearest station is at Taunton. This is on the main line between London and the West Country and is also served by direct trains from Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Edinburgh. For train times and ticket prices see: www.nationalrail.co.uk.

Coach transfer to Holnicote House

Each Saturday we operate a coach transfer from Taunton station to Holnicote House. This departs Taunton at 3.45pm, returning the following week at 9.30am. The transfer costs £18 return – please contact our Reservations Team to book your place.

By taxi or bus

The 30 mile journey from Taunton station to Holnicote House, can also be made by taxi or bus. Taxis cost approx £50 per journey - less if shared. We will send you a taxi booking form prior to your holiday.

The number 28 bus runs regularly (approx every half an hour on summer Saturdays) from Taunton station to Minehead.  You will need to change buses at Minehead for the number 39 or 300 bus to Porlock – this stop outside Holnicote House. Total journey time from Taunton by bus approx 1¾ hours. See www.traveline.org.uk for bus times.

By air

From London Heathrow take the Heathrow Express (faster but expensive) or the Heathrow Connect train (slower but cheaper) to London Paddington station. Direct trains run from here to Taunton. Total journey time to Taunton around 2½ hours. 

From Gatwick Airport take a train to Reading, then change here for a mainline train to Taunton. Total journey time to Taunton around 2¾ hours. 

By National Express coach
