This fine Country House is situated high on the moor below Haytor Rocks, one of Dartmoor’s best-known landmarks, with excellent walks right from the doorstep. It was in this magnificent setting that Agatha Christie wrote her first book, The Mysterious Affair at Styles, in 1916.
You can stay independently at Moorlands on a Freedom Break. This is a flexible way to enjoy the stunning Devon countryside, perhaps enjoying some self-guided walks, sightseeing or just relaxing.
Moorlands is used throughout the year for our Walking and Leisure Activity holidays.
Our most popular holiday is Guided Walking with departures throughout the year. Enjoy a choice of up to three different walks each day led by our experienced and knowledgeable leaders.
