From £1610 - 15 to 16 nights
We stay in a selection of 3 and 4-star hotels and comfortable mountain lodges in excellent locations.
For the first visit to Kathmandu, we stay at the Park Village Hotel, a 4-star hotel located outside the city in the Shivapuri National Park in extensive grounds with full facilities. All rooms have balconies with views across the valley towards the capital.
In Bhaktapur, we stay overnight at the Bhadgaon Guest House, an attractive 3-star hotel in the
centre of the city, with gardens and a rooftop restaurant overlooking the tiled roofs of the historic centre with views to the mountains beyond.
In Nagarkot, stay for 2 nights at the Country Villa Hotel, a lovely resort style mountain lodge with modernist touches. The hotel is located on a terrace with wonderful views across the valley and features attractive large rooms decorated in pine, a wonderfully decorated restaurant, bar, lounge and a terrace with outdoor seating.
The Balthali Village Resort enjoys a stunning location atop a hill with views of the snowy peaks of Dorjee Lhakpa, Langtang and a whole range of mountains to the north. Rooms are attractive and bright and there are large communal areas, including an outdoor dining option. The hotel is surrounded by pristine nature and a profusion of plants and native birds.

In Patan, stay at the Hotel Himalaya, a large modern 4-star hotel, with a full range of facilities including outdoor pool, restaurant serving international food and large rooms with a clean, modernist design. The hotel is located 15 minutes' walk from Durbar Square.

The Hattiban Resort is a comfortable rural lodge, set in a pine forest and featuring a spacious restaurant with large windows overlooking the valley below.
In the Annapurna region, we stay 2 nights in a local guest house at Australian Camp. This is a small guest house situated amidst views of towering snow-capped peaks in a quiet and pristine location. The lodge is clean and simple. Although without frills, the friendly and welcoming service complements a place full of character, in a quite remarkable setting.
In Pokhara stay at Fishtail Lodge, the former residence of the late Princess Helen Shah, part of the Princess Trust which donates to health issues for the poor. Attractive individual cottages are set within landscaped gardens on a peninsula of Lake Phewa, accessed by ferry shuttle. There is an outdoor pool, welcoming restaurant and bar with log fire.

Returning to Kathmandu, stay at the Hotel Malla, a 4-star hotel located in the centre of the city in the Thamel area.
On the Annapurna trekking option, stay in camps in wonderful locations, on mountain ridges and outside remote villages, waking up to the sight of the Himalayas at dawn and relaxing under starry night skies. Camps are well equipped with sizeable two-person tents, separate dining tent, toilet tent, three meals a day and plenty of drinking water. (Sleeping bags can be hired locally, currently around £1 per day.)
