By car

Dolgellau is is approximately 1½ hours’ drive from the M56 at Chester or the M54 at Telford. A large car park is available in the grounds with ample free parking. If you are using a sat nav, the postcode for Dolserau Hall is LL40 2AG

By train

The most convenient railway station to Dolserau Hall is Machynlleth. For train times and general rail enquiries call 08457 484950 or visit www.nationalrail.co.uk. For National Rail Enquiries from overseas call 0044 20 7278 5240.

By taxi

The 16 mile journey from Machynlleth railway station takes approximately 30 minutes, with a cost of around £30 per taxi. We will send you a taxi booking form prior to your holiday. The return journey can be arranged on your behalf by the House Manager.

By bus

From Machynlleth take the X32 bus to Dolgellau. The 2 mile journey to Dolserau Hall from Dolgellau can be completed in a taxi. Alternatively alight at Machynlleth Little Chef, from where it is a 1 mile walk along a quiet country lane to the hotel. By air

The nearest airport is at Birmingham. If you are arriving at London Heathrow or London Gatwick it is possible, if you have a morning arrival, to reach Dolgellau in a day. See www.nationalrail.co.uk/ for details on travelling from these airports by train.

If you are arriving at London Heathrow take the Underground to London Euston station. Take a train from here to Birmingham, and then change for a train to Machynlleth. Total journey time around 5 hours. 

From Gatwick Airport the easiest option is to take a Thameslink train to King’s Cross St Pancras station in central London. From here it is a 10-15 minute walk to London Euston station. Take a train from here to Birmingham, then a connecting train to Machynlleth. Total journey time around 5½ hours. 

Birmingham Airport is adjacent to Birmingham Internation station - from here there are direct trains to Machynlleth. Journey time is around 2½ hours.

From Manchester Airport you can travel by train direct from the airport to Machynlleth with two changes at Crewe and Wolverhampton. Journey time is around 3½ hours.
