60 miles. 8-13 miles per day with a maximum daily ascent of 1,800 feet. Some sections of the trail can be rocky and rugged.

Looking back towards the cliffsDay 1: Arrival day

Day 2: St Dogmael's to Moylgrove - St Dogmael’s to Molygrove across the highest point on the trail for wonderful vistas of our route ahead. The first part of our walk is accompanied by fine views of Cardigan Bay. Rounding Cemaes Head a wonderful vista opens up towards the South West, with views of Dinas Island and Strumble Head. 8 miles with 1,800 feet of ascent

Coastal pathDay 3: Molygrove to Newport  - Our roller coaster journey continues from Ceibwr. This is perhaps the wildest and most uninhabited section of the walk. At times the route can be quite tough, but it’s a wonderful exhilarating journey through stunning cliff scenery and numerous rock formations and caves. 9 miles with 1,600 feet of ascent.

Day 4: Newport to Goodwick  - The coastline here is quainter and it's not long before we reach the idyllic sandy coves of Aberrhigian and Aberfforest. After visiting the famous beauty spot of Cwm-yr-Eglwys, we follow the trail around glorious Dinas Head to Fishguard. 13 miles with 1,150 feet of ascent.

Rock arch into the seaDay 5: Goodwick to Pwll Deri - From the summit of Carnfathach, we admire typical Pen Caer panoramas, of this harsh but beautiful landscape. Continuing west we reach Strumble Head; a glorious, wild stretch of coast, well-loved by bird watchers. Following a beautiful stretch of footpath we end our day at the beauty spot of Pwll Deri. 8 miles with 1,500 feet of ascent.

Day 6: Pwll Deri to Porthgain - Today’s walk passes the pretty bay of Aberbach. A little further along the coast we explore Aber Mawr, the most important Ice Age settlement in Pembrokeshire and close by, Castell-coch, an Iron Age promontory fort. Our walk continues along this delightful peninsula abounding with wonderful coastal views. 11½ miles with 900 feet of ascent.

ChurchDay 7: Porthgain to St David’s - Superb views as we head along the cliff tops, around the wonderful wild heather-covered heath of St David's Head, to uncover the delightful Whitesands Bay. Leaving the coast path for the final time, we enter the magical city of St David's via its cathedral, a truly stunning end to our holiday. 11½ miles with 1,500 feet of ascent
