Skomer Island

If you stay an extra night in Marloes/Dale or have time at the end of your trip, spend the day at Skomer Island, a marine nature reserve, just a short boat trip away from Martin’s Haven. Skomer Island is home to an estimated half a million birds including the famous puffins, as well as other creatures such as grey seals

Grassholm Island

Guided trips to Grassholm Island depart from Dale.

Sea Safari

Dale Sailing also offers a variety of sea safaris. All boats are under the command of experienced guides who are experts in the wildlife, and the history of the area.

Little Haven

The sandy beach and high cliffs make Little Haven a popular spot.

Broad Haven

Broad Haven is popular for its lovely sandy beach, nestled between the cliffs. There are good facilities and it is a great, safe place to swim. There are also some interesting rock pools and rock formations to explore.

Solva

Solva is a lovely small harbour and is popular with boat owners. There are some nice shops and galleries to browse in, and pubs and cafés to enjoy.

Whitesands Bay

Whitesands Bay is a lovely beach and makes a perfect place to end your walk.

St. David’s Cathedral

Building began in 1181 on the site where St. David founded a monastery in the 6th Century. The cathedral has been an important pilgrimage site for almost 14 centuries.

Ramsey Island

Ramsey Island is a spectacular island nature reserve, protected by the RSPB. The area is home to a huge variety of birds including puffins, razorbills, kittiwakes and guillemots, and there are also many marine mammals, including one of the largest colonies of Atlantic grey seals in Great Britain. In the waters surrounding the Island it is possible to take boat trips to see various types of whales, as well as porpoises, dolphins and sometimes even basking sharks and turtles.
