Montelupo

Hotel Ca’del Lupo - 4-star

Hotel Ca’del Lupo is highly regarded by our guests and regularly wins Hotel of the Year. The hotel is owned and run by two brothers, Savio and Stefano Drocco. Savio keeps a close eye on the hotel side of things and Stefano looks after the restaurant, whose reputation with locals has become well established over the last 18 years. The hotel enjoys peaceful surroundings and has been purpose built so that all rooms look out over the nut plantations and vineyards towards the hill-top villages of Rodello and Montelupo.

The hotel offers a continental buffet breakfast, with all the breads, cakes and pastries home-made in the wood-fired oven.

A typical breakfast includes cereals, fruit juice, yoghurt, fresh fruit, hams and cheese, breads, pastries, sweet cakes, savoury pies, tea and coffee.

Evening meal

Drinks

At each evening meal you will have the opportunity to try out the local wines which are included in the price of your holiday. A different speciality wine will be selected for each evening and its origins and qualities will be explained to you by the wine waiter.

Lunches

Picnic lunches can be ordered from the Hotel Ca'del Lupo; these should be ordered the night before. Alternatively, ingredients for your picnic lunch can be bought from shops in the villages you will visit. On certain days it may be possible to eat in a café; your leaders will advise you of the options.

In the evenings

Each evening your walking leaders will tell you about the choice of walks for the next day and answer any questions you may have. During the evening you may like to join in an optional organised evening activity, such as a quiz or a visit to the local skittle alley.

The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. There is normally a good mix of ages, of new clients and 'regulars' from Britain and overseas, and of couples, friends and people travelling alone.
