Rambles with a Sketchbook

Dolserau Hall currently has 20 en-suite bedrooms; all of a good size and furnished to a high standard. We plan to add further bedrooms, including additional single rooms, during the forthcoming year. Rooms are either located in the main building or the tastefully converted coach house.

Standard en-suite rooms            

Our standard rooms offer comfortable accommodation and an en-suite bathroom.

All standard rooms have:

• En-suite bathroom with WC and shower or bath

• Tea and coffee making facilities

Premium rooms

Premium rooms are available at just £5 extra per person per night. 

All premium rooms have:

• Extra space or exceptional views
• En-suite bathroom with WC and shower or bath
• Television
• Tea and coffee making facilities
• Alarm clock with iPod player
• Hairdryer
• Enhanced toiletries
• Towelling robe and complimentary slippers
• Room available from 12 noon on arrival day  

Single rooms

Standard single rooms are available for an extra £8 per night. 

All holidays are Full Board with breakfast, picnic lunch and evening meal included. Dolserau Hall has an excellent reputation for its food which is prepared by award winning chefs.

With over 30 years' experience both in the UK and abroad, John Charnley, Head Chef, has been at Dolserau Hall for six years and works tirelessly to source the freshest and best quality products. He leads a versatile team, with  the breadth of capability to ensure an evening menu which is always interesting.

Kevin Williams, our Sous Chef, brings with him extensive experience in Haute and Gourmet Cuisine, having worked in the Royal Navy and then for a number of hotels countrywide. A Welsh national, Kevin is a proud member of the Welsh National Culinary Association.

Breakfast                            

Start your day with our extensive breakfast. Select from our cold buffet and/or a full cooked breakfast.

Cold buffet

• Fruit juices, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts, croissants and pastries

Hot dishes

• Porridge, sausages, bacon, eggs (scrambled, boiled, poached or fried), tomato, baked beans and mushrooms
• Regional dishes including black pudding or kippers

Served at the table

• Tea and coffee, toast and jams

Picnic lunches                  

Choose from our self-select picnic lunches

• Your own choice of sandwiches, prepared to order
• Crisps and snacks, fresh fruit, dried fruit and nuts, chocolate bars, sweets and biscuits

Dinner                 

The relaxed dinner is a highlight of any stay at Dolserau Hall - with tables seating up to 10 and no seating plan, it offers a great opportunity to get to know fellow guests. There is always a choice of dishes for every course, featuring good Welsh cooking and often local specialities. Vegetarian meals are always available.

Drinks  

Dolserau Hall has a well-stocked bar serving beer, wine and spirits.

Guided Walking

Following a leisurely dinner, relax over coffee as you hear more information about the next day's walks. On some evenings there may be an activity which you will be welcome to join, for example an illustrated talk about the area or a quiz; alternatively relax in our comfortable lounge bar.

Leisure Activities

Many of our Leisure Activities holidays continue into the evening with programmed sessions. Other holidays will have the evenings free, and you will be welcome to join in other social activities that may be happening at the house.

Freedom Breaks

Guests on Freedom Breaks which are scheduled alongside other holidays are entirely welcome to join in any organised evenings that may be offered.
