This holiday mainly follows cycle paths with some roads and undulating sections.
Day 1: Arrival in Innsbruck. If time permits a visit to the Golden roof and the Imperial palace are well worth a visit.
Day 2: Cycle through enchanting mountain scenery to your next hotel in Strass, stopping en route at the Swarovski Crystal World in Wattens (28 miles).
Day 3: Follow the river via Rattens, Austria’s smallest town, to Kufstein with its impressive fortress standing at an impressive 90m above the town offering fantastic views over the area (22 miles).
Day 4: Cycle along the Inn to Rosenheim which sits just over the border in Germany with its impressive architecture ranging from a 14th century market gate to traditional Salzach-style town houses (24 miles).

Day 5: Cycle to picturesque Wasserburg, a medieval town full of colourful gothic houses which almost feels like an island practically surrounded by the Inn (19 miles).
Day 6: Your route takes you through wooded plains to Mühldorf, packed with beautiful buildings dating back to its prosperous days in the salt trade. Mühldorf is also host to a number of significant historical WWII sites with a network of underground bunkers designed for manufacturing in the war (31 miles).
Day 7: Today you will pass Altötting, a Bavarian pilgrim town, famous for its statue of the Virgin Mary. Continue to Braunau, an old trading town with an impressive 15th century church boasting a 99m spire (33 miles).
Day 8: Cycle through a nature reserve, past the Reichersberg monastery to the baroque town of Schärding. Take the train to Passau where the Inn River meets the Danube and the Ilz River (33 miles).
Day 9: Departure day.
You will be provided with a 21-gear bicycle. You will be supplied with repair vouchers which can be used at local bike shops in case of a problem.
On arrival at your first hotel you will receive an information pack containing your route directions and maps, tourist information and hotel vouchers.
Your luggage will be transferred from hotel to hotel on this cycling holiday.
