Musée de l’Automate
Mechanical dolls and animals from the 19th and 20th centuries, which dance and perform magic tricks. The majority of the collection comes from the Roullet-Decamps workshops in Paris.
Souillac
Souillac Market – Friday: Food stalls set up around the abbey-church and stalls selling clothes etc can be found on place du Foirail.
Gouffre de Padirac
Visitors can descend for 75 metres underground to explore the cave system. The cave contains a subterranean river system which has been described as “one of the most extraordinary natural phenomena of the Massif Central”.
Rocamadour
The exquisite natural setting and beautiful buildings have made Rocamadour one of France’s most visited sites. Aside from the stunning setting, this quaint village is known for its wine, cheese making, and the religious pilgrimages made there each year.
Grottes de Presque
From delicate pillars to robust columns and curtains of stalagmites, a visit to the cave will introduce you to an impressive selection of caverns with some mysterious twists and turns.
Château de Montal
This masterpiece of French renaissance was beautifully restored in the early 20th century. This impressive chateau, with its castle-like appearance and its gardens, make an interesting visit.
