Guided TouringWalk grade logo oneWalks are 2-4 miles, with little ascent or descent. In the Grand Canyon, the choice of walks includes the much harder option of descending to Plateau Point, with up to 3,080 feet of descent and re-ascent. Some walks follow paved paths, others are on more rocky terrain.

Bryce Canyon National ParkDay 1: To Las Vegas - Fly to Las Vegas and transfer to our city centre hotel for 1 night, with some time to explore in the evening.

Day 2: To Zion National Park & Bryce Canyon - Journey to Zion National Park, a green oasis in the desert, for a leisurely walk following the Virgin River upstream into Zion Canyon and Emerald Pools. Continue to Bryce Canyon for 2 nights.

Day 3: Bryce Canyon - A full day in the extraordinary landscapes of Bryce Canyon with walks on the Navajo Loop Trail and Rainbow Point for views of the cathedral-like formations.

Day 4: Capitol Reef National Park & to Green River - Morning drive along Highway 21 to Capitol Reef National Park for walks along the Fremont River Trail. Continue to Green River for 1 night.

Arches National ParkDay 5-7: Moab, Canyonlands and Arches - Continue to Moab (3 nights) where we walk in the Canyonlands National Park, a photographer's paradise with its sandstone spires and pinnacles, and visit 1,000 year old petroglyphs on Newspaper Rock. An exploration of Arches National Park, an area that contains the world's largest concentration of stone arches, is followed by an evening cruise on the Colorado River.

Days 8-9: Mesa Verde National Park - We travel through Navajo country to Cortez (2 nights), in the Mesa Verde National Park, and visit the spectacular cliffside ruins of the Anasazi Indians.

Day 10: To Monument Valley - Take the scenic highway 163 into the breathtaking Monument Valley, for the famous sights of the huge red sandstone monoliths. In the afternoon take a 4-wheeled drive tour deeper into the valley and overnight nearby.

View over the Grand CanyonDay 11: To the Grand Canyon - Journey to the extraordinary Grand Canyon for a 3 night stay. Visit the Desert View watchtower and Tusayan Ruin Museum, with an evening visit to the Imax theatre for the history of the great canyon.

Day 12: Grand Canyon - A day of walks on the south and west rims with visits to the Yavapai Museum and visitor centre.

Day 13: Grand Canyon - A choice of walks includes the descent into the canyon from Bright Angel Trailhead to Indian Gardens or Plateau Point for views of the Colorado River 1,360ft below. There is also the option to take a scenic flight over the canyon.

Las Vegas signDay 14: To Las Vegas - Drive via Kingman to Las Vegas for a final night in this famous, exciting city.

Day 15: Departure - Homeward flight.

Day 16: Arrive UK
