Explore the most challenging and exhilarating routes in the mountains of the Western Highlands of Scotland. Walks will be on high, exposed routes with some simple rock scrambling. Each day’s guided walk will be chosen from the following routes.  However due to the challenging nature of the walks it may be necessary to change walks or modify routes.

Beinn Fhionnlaidh

This Munro makes a fine high vantage point on the traverse from Glen Etive to Glen Creran.

Mamores Crossing

North to south over the Mamores via the An Gearanach / An Garbhanach arête

Stob Coire Easain and Stob a’Chore Mheadhoin

Traverse the two peaks which overlook Loch Treig from south to north starting with a train ride to Corrour Halt.

Ben Nevis by the Carn Mor Dearg Arete

This is one of the finest high-level walks in the UK, the Carn Mor Dearg crest providing magnificent views across Coire Leis to the frowning crags of the north face of ‘The Ben’. Starting at Torlundy, near Spean Bridge, we walk in, via the Allt a’ Mhuillinn river, before ascending steeply to the north ridge of Carn Mor Dearg and then to its summit. From here follow the celebrated CMD arête which skirts round the head of Coire Leis. Then a steep rise to the summit of Ben Nevis. The descent is by the so-called Tourist Route, but with the satisfaction of having seen the best of the ‘Ben’.

Ben Starav and Glas Bheinn Mor

An exhilarating high level route around the hill that dominates the head of Loch Etive, the mountain’s striking symmetry and twin peaks provide one of the classic views of the Western Highlands.

The Grey Corries

The Grey Corries hills of Stob Choire Claurigh and Stob Coire an Laoigh make up part of the superb panorama that holds the eye as you drive along the road from Spean Bridge to Newtonmore, the quartzite summits appearing like fresh snow.  The route offers nearly 3 miles of fine, undulating, high-level ridge walking.

Beinn a Chreahain  and Beinn Achallader

These two splendid mountains form the south west boundary of Rannoch Moor and give extensive views across this remote and barren landscape.

Stob Ghabar and Stob a Choire Odhair

These two hills lie to the west of Loch Tulla and provide an excellent introduction to the impressive, twisting Blackmount range of hills.
