Country Houses:
HF Holidays owns and manages 17 Country Houses around the UK with 13 in England, 2 in Wales and 2 in Scotland, which provide the base for most of the company's walking and leisure activity holidays. They are located in prime walking areas and mostly in National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB’s) with best walking on the doorstep.
All Country Houses have facilities such as heated boot-rooms and many offer indoor or outdoor swimming pools, multiple lounges and reading rooms, ballrooms or Jacuzzi spas. Two properties, namely Holnicote House and Monk Coniston, have been managed by HF Holidays on a long-term lease from the National Trust for over 50 years.
If you wish to visit one of HF Holidays Country Houses, a facility visit can be arranged.

HF Holidays offers guided walking holidays and short breaks where guests join in a walking group of people led by a walks leader. A choice of guided walks is presented each day from easier, shorted ambles to longer, more strenuous walks.
For customers preferring to explore under their own steam, self-guided (independent) walking holidays offer guests personalised information packs, maps with route notes and local tips.
For those looking to discover a new hobby or indulge in an existing one, the company's Leisure Activity brochure features over 200 different breaks, from arts & crafts to literature and from mind & body to dancing.
An exciting range of cycling, and cycling and river cruising, holidays is also on offer for those who prefer to pedal instead of walking. Both guided and independent cycling holidays are available.
Winter activity holidays are also available for winter enthusiasts. These include not only walking, snow-shoeing and cross-country skiing but also down-hill skiing and snowboarding. Organised and run with the same sociable ethos, an HF Holidays’ skiing leader accompanies every holiday.
